Martini Bond cast rebond
“What time we are meeting for our line run?”
Oh what a joy. The Martini Bond cast are gearing up for our two nights in Manchester in March – which means the actors are starting to run through their lines again.
“I’m still waiting to hear what time we are meeting for the line run.”
I’m still getting the group emails, which starts to fill me with excitement again. The headiness of putting on a show – your words, your characters all coming to life again. It’s great that the cast have been so reliable and up for taking the show on.
“What ******* TIME are we meeting?”
Email silence.
“Could someone let ***** know what time you are all meeting?” the director diplomatically intervened.
So it’s all going swimmingly. How do I know this? Another email: “Last night’s line run (interrupted by food, drink and gossip)…was relatively OK.”
Marvellous.
How’s your book, play, writing going?
Carrie Rubin replied:
It must be a relief to know the play is written and the kinks worked out. Now you can just enjoy this second run. 🙂

It is a relief. But every audience is different. Now I’m panicking about selling tickets!

“Relatively OK” is good! Hey, I have a quote, too: “Many plays are like blank checks. The actors and directors put their own signatures on them.” (Thornton Wilder). You’ve done your job. Fun to see how your baby turns out.

Congratulations — I can definitely feel the excitement from here! As for my own show, it’s an online animated musical, and the animation for the first episode is near completion. I can’t wait to show it to you.
